Thank you for your interest in being part of the LAcon V Program!

The Program division is committed to creating an interesting, educational, and inclusive program. We are excited about featuring Los Angeles and Southern Californian participants, the tapestry of communities that overlap with and are adjacent to Worldcon, and recent and current Hugo finalists and winners.

We will prioritize the participation of underrepresented voices from within the wider speculative fiction community, including participants who identify as Black, Indigenous, and People of Color, LGBTQIA+, and participants with disabilities.

We are hoping to have several panels in Spanish, presuming that there is enough interest shown. We are also very interested in having teen and young adult program participants.

By completing the Main Program Participant Survey, you are informing us of your interest. If you completed the Initial Interest Form, you should have received an email with instructions for completing the Main Survey. If you did not receive this email, please reach out to us at the email below.

Additionally, if you wish to “pitch” ideas for program items that you wish to participate in, you can do that either in the Main Program Participant Survey, or in the Pitch Survey, which is now available in Planorama.

We are using the Planorama software to host our surveys and do our Program scheduling. Clicking here will take you to the Participant Main Survey in Planorama and clicking here will take you to the Program Pitch Survey in Planorama. . You will need to create an account to complete either survey, and this will be the account you use going forward. (Note that even if you created an account for a prior Worldcon, you will need a new one – every instance of Planorama is convention specific.)

Submitting this form does not guarantee that you will become a program participant, though we are delighted that you would like to be.

If there are any problems, please contact program@lacon.org for assistance.
