To speak to this vision at the heart of Dublin 2029, they invite you to experience one of Ireland’s most welcoming traditions, a Céilí. A Céilí, also known as a ceilidh, is an evening of music, dancing, laughter, and community.
Join us on Thursday, August 27 from 9:00pm to midnight in Pacific Ballroom A at the Hilton Anaheim for a lively night of traditional Irish music and dance with Stepwise, an acclaimed Celtic folk trio featuring Liam Lewis, Olivia Breidenthal, and All-Ireland Champion bones player James Yoshizawa. Their blend of soaring harmonies, driving rhythms, and masterful musicianship creates the perfect atmosphere for dancing, whether you’re a seasoned Céilí veteran or taking your very first steps.
No experience is necessary. Céilí dancing is about participation, not perfection. We’ll gather as strangers, dance as friends, and celebrate the spirit of connection that lies at the heart of both Irish tradition and Worldcon fandom.
