The LAcon V Virtual Convention: What To Expect
Our commitment to our members is to bring exciting digital content to those who have purchased either an attending or a virtual membership.
Live Streaming and Replays
We’ll be streaming content from up to ten rooms between our venues. Depending on the availability of volunteers, members attending virtually will potentially be able to ask questions relayed to the room.
One of our priorities with virtual panels is to truly put the “World” in Worldcon. Some content will be entirely virtual, with all panelists interacting remotely from remote locations. Much of this content will extend beyond our in-person scheduled hours.
Whenever possible, streaming and virtual content will be recorded and available for members to replay for a limited time after the convention, enabling you to rewatch your favorites or see what you missed.
Interactive Opportunities
A member Discord space will be available for interaction between members attending in person and online . Besides a place to chat, you can use this space to continue discussions that start in our panel rooms.

We Need Volunteers!
Our single biggest constraint in making rich digital content a reality is the availability of both in-person and online volunteers. If you’re interested in helping out, please send in a Volunteers form. If you have something specific you’d like to contribute, include your idea or area of expertise in the form and we’ll be in touch.
With the contributions of our members, we are excited to make the virtual side of our convention the best it can be.
