LAcon V Art Show
LAcon V will have a fantastic Art Show, run by experienced people who run convention Art Shows at local, regional and international events, including Worldcons. The Art Show is open to all attendees for browsing and purchasing, and space in the art show is available to any artist, professional or fan.

You do not need to be a member of LAcon V to enter artwork in the Art Show, but you must be a member if you wish to attend any convention activities in person or online. If you have any additional questions about the Art Show, please contact us via email.

Important: please join Jacqui Freas, daughter of award-winning artist Frank Kelly Freas, for a docent tour of the display of his artwork in this year’s Art Show. There are several pieces that have never been displayed before, or if they have, it was several decades ago. This is a don’t miss opportunity!

LAcon V Artist Alley
This year’s Worldcon will also feature an Artist Alley. Should you wish to participate, please contact us via email (as we vet each applicant) and provide us with the following information: your name, the type of artwork you produce, and what you will be selling or displaying. We will then provide you a link to the Artist Alley sign-up form which includes payment options.
You MUST be a registered attending member of LAcon V in order to participate in the Artist Alley, covering the day or days you will be at your table.
We will be selling space in the Artist Alley in four-hour time slots: Thursday 2:00pm to 6:00pm; Friday, Saturday and Sunday in two blocks, 10:00am to 2:00pm and 2:00pm to 6:00pm; and Monday 10:00am to 2:00pm. The price for each table per time slot is $50.
A California Business License number is required (a copy will need to be supplied to the Art Show team before you can get your table/booth.) We require that all artwork displayed or for sale at the Artist Alley tables NOT be fabricated using artificial intelligence (AI) generators, compilers, or any system that utilizes images and work by other artists. All displays must be of science fiction, fantasy, or fannish interest. Further details on all of these, including California business license links, are found on the Artist Alley sign-up form that we will send you after contacting us.
Important: Business License Clarification
If you are in the Art Show and not purchasing time in the artist alley you will not need a California business license. If you are purchasing time in the artist alley and plan to sell things, you do need a business license
