LAcon V will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center and the Hilton Anaheim & Anaheim Marriott Hotels, the sites of the 1984, 1996 and 2006 World Science Fiction Conventions (LAcon II, III and IV).

LACon V will use the following facilities (with details on both hotels below the area map). All locations are in Anaheim, California:
The Anaheim Convention Center Arena (800 W. Katella Avenue) is where our major functions including the Hugo Awards and the Masquerade will be located. The Arena is attached to the larger convention center building and seats up to 7500 attendees.
The Anaheim Convention Center North (800 W. Katella Avenue) will feature both our major programming rooms on the upper level, as well as our exhibitor hall, where our dealers, artists and other displays are located, on the lower floor. We are not using the primary convention center building; the ACC North building was built after the last Worldcon held there (L.A. Con IV in 2006), and completely meets our function space requirements.
The Hilton Anaheim Hotel (777 W. Convention Way) is our secondary programming space with many panels and functions occurring here.
The Anaheim Marriott Hotel (700 W. Convention Way) does not contain any LAcon V programming or functions, but it is our overflow hotel for sleeping rooms.

About the Hilton Anaheim Hotel
Hilton Anaheim Hotel
We are excited for the Hilton Anaheim to act as our primary hotel facility for LAcon V. Located at 777 West Convention Way, this hotel was originally opened in time for the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games and is still bringing together people from all over the world. Orange County’s largest hotel is surrounded by a variety of restaurants, shopping, nightlife venues and theme parks including Disneyland® located just blocks away.
Room reservations at the Hilton are now closed.
If you don’t have time to sit down and eat on the first floor, near the exit to the convention center, is the Corner Eatery food court where you can pick up a number of grab and go food items including Starbucks®, burgers, pizza, and other quick eat options.
If you have a little more time on your hands, you can visit Poppy’s Lounge and Restaurant on the same level. Poppy’s Restaurant offers a casual sit-down service for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The Hilton Anaheim is a non-smoking facility. There are designated smoking areas outside the hotel.
With the exception of service animals, pets are not permitted at the Hilton Anaheim.
For daytime events, we will be utilizing much of the Hilton’s 150,000 sq ft of function space including their 28,000 sq ft ballroom. The hotel is just steps away from the Anaheim Convention Center which will be the host to our major events such as the Hugo Awards. At night the hotel will become the hub for the conventions nightlife including room parties. Though currently under remodel, we will once again enjoy the Lanai deck for our parties. For those who don’t remember, the Lanai deck rooms open to a central courtyard area, shared by all rooms. It is a great place to meet and mingle with your friends.
All of the function space is fully ADA accessible.
For reference: our contracted rooms, when they were available, was @ $179.00 + 24.75% tax + $1.70 resort fee a night (roughly $225 per night with taxes and fees) for both King and 2 Queen rooms. The convention rate is available up to 3 nights prior and after the convention dates, subject to availability.

About the Anaheim Marriott
Anaheim Marriott Hotel
We are excited to have partnered with the Anaheim Marriott to provide additional sleeping rooms for LAcon V. Located at 700 West Convention Way, centrally located this location offers easy access to the city’s most popular attractions such as Newport Beach, the Nixon Presidential Library and Museum and Disneyland®.
The Anaheim Marriott is on the same Anaheim Convention Center campus and is just steps away from the entrance to Convention Center and the Hilton Anaheim giving easy access to all of the Worldcon activities.
Room reservations at the Marriott are now closed.
The Anaheim Marriott contains a number of dining options within their facility. The Market Cafe offers a number of grab and go options. In the evening if you are wanting to grab some pizza then stop by the Slice Pizzeria. The NFuse Restaurant, Bar & Lounge offers a more casual sit-down meal containing fresh Californian cuisine infused with a global culinary twist.

With the exception of service animals, pets are not permitted at the Anaheim Marriott.
For reference: our contracted rooms, when they were available, was @ $189 for Standard King and $209 for Standard Double + 24.75% tax + $1.08 resort fee a night (roughly $236.86 for King and $261.80 for Standard Double).
Additional Hotel Options
Additional hotel properties in the immediate vicinity of our function space include the Sheraton Park Hotel at the Anaheim Resort; the Clarion Hotel Anaheim Resort; the Anaheim Portofino Inn & Suites; the Residence Inn by Marriott at Anaheim Resort; the Hyatt House at Anaheim Resort; and many others… because of the close proximity to the Disneyland parks, there are dozens of hotels within a one block area.
Immediately across the street from the ACC North, across Katella Avenue and within very easy walking distance, is the Disneyland Resort, including both Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure.

(If you haven’t visited before, you may recognize the Anaheim Convention Center from television and film; for example, the exterior of the convention center served as Starfleet Headquarters on Star Trek: Picard.)
