We are thrilled to announce that LAcon V will have a Makerspace in four rooms of the Anaheim Convention Center North (ACC). This is your place to try all kinds of craft and maker activities, as well as several art workshops. This is the creative hub of the convention with activities happening at all times, plus some scheduled workshops. 

The Anaheim Convention Center North is the building directly to the northwest of the Hilton Anaheim, where many programming functions as well as exhibits are located during the convention.  Room numbers precede each section below; you will be able to locate each room on the Map feature of our Member Portal during the convention.

will be the Art Room, featuring demos, presentations, and workshops about drawing and painting.

264A

will have Build-a-Blinkie featuring a custom LAcon V blinkie, and Snapmaker showcasing their 3D printers. There will also be a table of miscellaneous giveaway electronics.

will have Costume and Cosplay Repair, more 3D printing demos, Stitch & Bitch, beaded embroidery and weaving demos, and a group of artisans from the Society for Creative Anachronism demonstrating medieval art and craft techniques.

264C

will have demonstrations and display of how Kaiju suits are made, fabric dye workshops, gaming figure painting workshops, balloon sculpture workshops, and hair braiding workshops.
