Information for Bidders

A bidding committee must file (per the WSFS Constitution):

(1) an announcement of intent to bid along with the name of the bid committee and its postal and email addresses;

(2) adequate evidence of an agreement with its proposed site’s facilities, such as a conditional contract or a letter of agreement;

(3) the rules under which the Worldcon Committee will operate, including a specification of the term of office of their chief executive officer or officers and the conditions and procedures for the selection and replacement of such officer or officers.

(4) an executed copy, binding the bidding and prospective convention operating committee, of the most recent WSFS Mark Licensing Agreement approved by a two-thirds vote of the Mark Protection Committee, a copy of which can be found here: WSFS Licensing Agreement

Send these documents to siteselection@lacon.org no later than February 28, 2026. (The bidding committee must also supply copies of these documents to any member of WSFS on request.)

To be eligible as a write-in, the bidding committee must file the above documents by the close of the voting at LAcon V.
